The Cornerstone of All Co-Creations
The Sakura Lifestyle calls for strategies we've forgotten, though they're innate to us all. In our normal world, we chase acquisition, control, and being "right" to gain value and climb hierarchies. Our gaze is outward, scanning for threats, but tiger we once feared, is long gone. But nature's way? It's simpler: root deeply and let go. And letting go? From the mind's view, it means embracing being "wrong."
In support of this shift are our new partners of co-creation, the fifteen virtues of creation. All of them root in trust.
What Is Trust, Really?
Trust is that deep oneness we felt in the womb and our first weeks of life, a pure sense of home. As we separate from our mothers, it splits into duality.
Ideally, trust sparks no questions, about the world or ourselves. It's unconditional, dissolving doubts and fears. But soon, it's overshadowed by conditioned versions.
In childhood, life's realities chip away at this oneness, no matter how loving our parents. Our trust fractures, leaving a conditioned base for all of our co-creations through life.
Can We Trust Ourselves?
Honestly? No. How can we trust the unknown depths of our unconscious? We're more than our conscious awareness.
Test it: List what you've promised yourself, for yourself, over the last year. How long have those items lingered? How many are checked off?
Your "trust score" has a direct relation to your trustworthiness, and it echoes in the world around us. We see distrust everywhere, but forget that we all play a part.
Reconnecting with Our Natural Trust
The Sakura guide provides practices to reset trust and rebuild our foundation. From a clean slate, we deepen it along the journey.
“I've had my slate wiped twice, not by choice. I needed "deep rest," was forced to let go and discover a different way. That six-month depression? Brutal, I fixated on wants, not needs and kept myself busy asking why. My mind swore I had what I wanted, keeping me from what I needed. In hindsight, it scores upon the best things that happened, but at the time, I found little to be grateful about.”
"Trusting life is a choice; trusting oneself is part of the journey."
To embark on this journey, we must believe in something bigger than ourselves. We must trust in life, in our nature. Since we may no longer feel that trust, it has to be a choice. We must intentionally make that choice and proceed from there.
"Every 1000-mile journey begins with a first step—and that step is trusting life."
Trusting life means faith it'll deliver what we need (not always what we want), at the perfect time. It invites experiences that awaken intuition, reconnecting inner and outer worlds. It's embracing our essence in this human ride.
For guidance, we can turn to nature, life’s top ambassador. Nature's flawless track record in survival and potential? No control, just rooting and letting go. Trust isn't needed in nature; it's all connected in ways we're still discovering.
Did you know that trees in forests connect via underground fungal networks called mycorrhizae, sharing nutrients, water, and distress signals without trust? This "wood-wide web" is a biological link for mutual survival, with ongoing discoveries about its ecosystem impacts.
A New Foundation, A Fresh Start
Choose trust in life, then assess your self-trust: Do intentions, words, and actions align? Can you act on feelings, or does overthinking win? Start small, with baby steps, a timeless strategy and why not take a leap of faith from time to time.
Tune your intuition by acting on it and owning the results. Life's a dance floor, not a bar to utter opinions.
"Trust is the foundation of the Sakura Lifestyle.”
Choosing trust, without falling in the trap of naivety, transforms experiences. It challenges the mind, making decisions a true contest. Experiment freely.
Before dreaming big, we need to solidify the base. New choices bring challenges, like saying "no" after years of "yes." Without strong roots, they overwhelm. Your potential? Vast and unknown, remain present along the way.
